Dona Berta Tinta Barroca Reserve Red 2019

The Dona Berta Tinta Barroca Reserva Red 2019 wine was based on the idea of ​​expressing the character of one of the best Portuguese grape varieties – Tinta Barroca – in the Freixo de Numão terroir, characterized by an altitude of between 400 and 600 m, in the heart of the Douro Superior, which allows for slow maturation and late harvests. This wine is different from other Dona Berta reds, and fits in with the new trends that focus on the delicacy, elegance and aromatic profile of the grape variety. The aroma is rich, attractive and dominated by delicate but expressive aromatic notes, typical of wines with a gastronomic sense. In the mouth, the lightness, richness of flavor and lively acidity stand out, giving it a surprising finish. It will be worth monitoring its evolution in the bottle. It has not been stabilized by artificial cold and may therefore form a slight precipitate, which in no way affects the quality of the wine.
