Morgado do Perdigão Alvarinho Loureiro 2022 was the first to combine these two grape varieties (Alvarinho and Loureiro) in the Minho region in 1996. The Alvarinho grape variety is produced at Casa do Capitão-mor (Quinta da Boavista), in Mazedo, Monção. Its soil is of granite origin, calc-alkaline, covered with rolled pebbles. The Loureiro grape variety is produced in Barcelos, in the Cávado sub-region. The soils are of non-porphyritic granite origin, medium grain, and rich in quartz. The grape production respects the environment and is certified as “Integrated Production”.
