"With Quinta da Pedra Escrita Reserva Branco 2021, I sought to express the freshness of summer nights in one of the hottest areas of Portugal, the Douro Superior. The very poor granite soil of the estate limits production, creating a natural balance between productivity and concentration of aroma in the grapes. The cool nights preserve the acidity and aromatic fraction. Citrus and mineral aroma, notes of grapefruit, discreet exotic fruits with discreet well-integrated barrel notes. Very persistent and fresh palate with citrus notes and very lively acidity, in harmony with fat and well-structured notes from the barrel aging, suggesting longevity." - Rui Roboredo Madeira.
