Pegos Claros Primo Red 2016

Pegos Claros Primo Red 2016 is made from 90% Castelão and 10% Tintinha, using a unique and artisanal winemaking approach. It is fermented with the stems in new, vertical, 500L French oak barrels without a lid. After being pressed by hand, it is aged for one year in the same barrels and then aged in the cellar in the bottle for a minimum period of two years. Primo is the first wine from Pegos Claros that is not 100% Castelão and, therefore, Primo is also a close relative of our other wines. Let us be surprised by this rare and exclusive combination.
