Casas Altas Rufete 2017

From time immemorial until the advent of subsidies for vine planting and uprooting, Rufete was the most important grape variety in the Pinhel Region. The variety allowed for good production, resulting in light, fresh wines with little colour and alcohol, ideal to accompany local cuisine. Following this concept, 25 years ago, a vineyard with the extreme Rufete grape variety was planted with selected clones, on granite sand land on a slope at an altitude of around 600 m, giving rise to the Casas Altas Rufete 2017.
