Dona Berta Red Dog Reserve 2018

Dona Berta Tinto Cão Reserva 2018 is a wine that was produced this year specifically because the grapes ripened excellently, creating a wine with the unmistakable character of the grape variety that deserved to be bottled as is.

The bottling took place approximately a year and a half after the harvest and the wine was stabilised by a light fining followed by filtration. It was not stabilised by cold and may therefore form a slight precipitate over time, which in no way affects the quality of the wine.

Initially, the aroma is dominated by fruit, then vegetal notes begin to appear, with the wood very well integrated, in a very elegant combination. In the mouth, it is clear why this is a wine with a gastronomic profile, with persistence, acidity and very powerful but civilized tannins, which allows it to accompany long, convivial meals, so much to the taste of the Portuguese people.
