Chalk Old Vines Red 2018

Originating in Bairrada, between the foothills of the Buçaco Mountains and the sea, Giz Vinhas Velhas Tinto 2018 is a wine that uniquely expresses the characteristics of the limestone soils from which it comes. Originating from centuries-old vines, made from the Baga grape variety planted in poor, stony soils, the raw material here is scarce but extremely precious. Produced in total commitment to nature, intervention in the natural process is minimal, both in the vineyard and in the winery. It presents well-defined and delicate aromas of ripe red fruit and light floral notes. Cedar, vanilla, spice and moss add aromatic complexity. In the end, we obtain an unmasked wine, authentic, structured and complex, full of individuality and character.
