Search Red 2017

For two years, Susana Esteban spent her time searching the entire Alentejo for the best vineyards to make her wines. It was only in 2011 that she finally managed to find two plots in Portalegre, an area much cooler than the rest of the Alentejo. A traditional vineyard that brings together a wide range of traditional low-yielding grape varieties that add an unusual freshness and complexity, and a 100% Alicante Bouschet vineyard, which provides power and structure. The combination of these two plots resulted in a unique and extraordinary wine.

The Procura Tinto 2017 presents notes of ripe and intense fruit, although without any over-ripeness, to which tobacco is added, and a mineral base, accompanied by a light vegetal suggestion that adds an unusual complexity and tension. Lively and powerful, austere but delicate, it surprises with its lively but serene tannins, finishing fresh and vigorous.

Only 1200 bottles were produced.
