Herdade do Cebolal is a special project due to its concern for the environment, and this is a key factor that is reflected in the wines.

Since 1890, our family project has gone from generation to generation, currently being managed by the 4th and 5th generations: Isabel and her wife Luís Lufinha Mota Captain. The knowledge, transmitted from generation to generation, strengthened by values, ethics, responsibility and respect for man and nature, gives the origin to this heritage that identifies us as family. We are wine artisans, respecting the authenticity of our terroir, which translates into wines with personality, respect for the environment and low chemical intervention.”

Herdade do Cebolal consists of 85 hectares of 20 vineyards and 65 hectares of woodland. We are working on the regeneration / restructuring of our heritage, where the first 7 hectares have been converted into Syntropic Agriculture.

Our vineyard is made up of native and international varieties, which have been planted in recent decades, being the oldest around 80 years.
