Quinta do Poeira is located in Provesende, off a cliff in the Pinhão valley, on the river bank of the same name. Its exposure to the North is a fundamental aspect of the wine style that we seek to develop. Temperatures in the region are always very high in summer, and on a north-facing slope grape ripening is always slower, preserving better aromas, flavors and acidity. The adventure through the Douro began in 2001 with the purchase of the Quinta and the preparation of the first Poeira. The possibility of producing high quality white and red grapes on the same farm demonstrates once again the enormous diversity of the Douro, and how this diversity is found even on small-scale properties.
