Wife, when the youngest of her children was only two years old, Abuela Sabica was forced to run the farm, which occupied some 12,000 hectares.

Some wines from Casa de Sabicos are made in very small batches, when only in years of absolutely exceptional maturity. An example of this is Abuela Sabica.

Joaquim Madeira, great-grandson of Avó Sabica, is the winemaker at Casa de Sabicos and is also responsible for the vineyard implementation and management projects. His unique experience in the areas of viticulture and oenology gives Casa de Sabicos wines striking and differentiating characteristics.
